PUTAN CLUB - TECHNICAL RIDER
LINE-UP : 2 people (or 3 people if sound or light-engineer, to be confirmed)
- Gianna Greco : bass guitar, vocal
- 1 vocal microphone (Shure SM58 is fine) on « boom arm» stand
- No amp : Gianna Greco is working with an emulator
- 2 wedges/monitors (no less than 250W RMS)
- 5 electricity sockets
- François R. Cambuzat : guitar & computer, vocal
- 1 vocal microphone (wireless would be better but Shure SM58 is also fine) on « boom arm» stand
- No amp : François R. Cambuzat is working with an emulator
- François R. Cambuzat’s Computer (MacBook Pro)
- 2 wedges/monitors (no less than 250W RMS)
- 5 electricity sockets
- 1 sound-engineer : to be confirmed
NOTA BENE: the Putan Club is performing in the audience - not on stage (with rare exceptions when really impossible).
AUDIO SPECIFICATIONS
"A " case : only stereo tracks
- Nowadays the band is travelling with its own digital mixer (X-Air Behringer). Microphones, guitar, bass & computer are plugged in this/our mixer and a stereo left/right is send to the main mixer (NO COMPRESSION. NO LIMITER. NOWHERE. NEVER).
- Until 1000 people the PUTAN CLUB is always performing in the audience (cf "In the audience Stage Plan" below). (Don't worry: we also did it in festivals as Pohoda, Ouest Park, Moers, etc, up to 8000 people, without any larsens or feedbacks. ) Not very clear? Here's a short explanatory video (click).
A case needed:
- 4 wedges/monitors (no less than 250W RMS) (2 Gianna + 2 François - cf “IN THE AUDIENCE “STAGE” PLAN”)
- 2 microphones (e.g. Shure SM 58)
- 2 boom arms microphone stands
- 12 long XLR cables
- electric sockets (schuko)
"B" case : separate tracks
We can also (and love to) work with a local sound engineer, but it's a matter of trust, of course.
In that case we can then separately provide the followings :
- computer (stereo tracks)
- guitar
- bass
- Gianna's vocals
- François' vocals

B case needed:
- Minimum 8 Channels Board with XLR inputs
- 6 wedges/monitors (2 Gianna + 2 François + 2 in the audience if if “IN THE AUDIENCE “STAGE” PLAN”)
(no less than 250W RMS)
- 2 microphones (e.g. Shure SM 58)
- 2 microphone stands + boom arms
- 2 d.i. boxes with no phantom power needed (just in case, if needed for bad grounding reasons)
- 12 long XLR cables
- electric sockets

LIGHT SPECIFICATIONS
- It would be GREAT if you had 4 Stairville Wild Wash Pro 648 LED RGB : we have a total light-show programmed on our computer for them.
- The lighting of the musicians will be adapted to the projection : graduated system, drop lights 3 PC 1 kw (Lee 204) + 4 PAR64-CP61 (Lee 147) on lateral stands.
- 2 chasers following both musicians (if possible).
If relevant, Putan Club is using a converter DMX512 Pro drived by Beam (& Ableton).
NOTA BENE : minimum 1 light on both musicians. And some (blinding) lights on the audience, cf “IN THE AUDIENCE “STAGE” PLAN”.
VIDEO SPECIFICATIONS (if desired)
- If desired/requested, Putan Club can also perform with its video/movie.
- The screen has to be the biggest & largest possible, hopefully as large as the stage, almost in front of the stage (and not at the bottom of the stage) and the band will perform in front of this screen.
- Rear projection is better. (Then a Rear Projection Screen is needed.)
- A projector with a minimum power of 4000 lumens with a bulb/lamp in good condition and not too old ;
- A long HDMI cable to link the computer (MacBook Pro, placed near François R. Cambuzat) to the projector.
TIMING
- In a trouble free situation, 1 hour is needed for a full soundcheck – and we can be faster. This NOT include the time for system setup and troubleshooting. House technician is needed (for eventual troubleshooting).
OTHERS
a) NO COMPRESSION. NO LIMITER. NOWHERE. NEVER.
b) The Putan Club is performing in the audience (not on stage, with rare exceptions): see "IN THE AUDIENCE "STADE" PLAN.
c) We absolutely need volunteers to help us unload AND reload our vehicle: François R. broke his back (1 month in the hospital screaming under morphine) and can no longer carry heavy objects.
d) We compulsory need a really safe & watched garage/parking place (& necessary permits if required) for a vehicle 2.5 m high (roof box), 4.7 m long, 1.9 m wide, plate GW809DK, F, Dacia Jogger, white. (All equipment will remain in the car overnight.)
e) We will need a merchandising table (1,5 meter long) with light/lamp.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR SOUND-ENGINEERS
If you need to adjust/correct the PA system's EQ during the concert, please GO IN THE CENTER OF THE ROOM ( = in the audience). Because if you remain seated at your mixing console while our Mackie monitors are playing loud, you will hear almost nothing but these Mackies (with crystal-clear mids and highs, as we intend). Furthermore, the sound is "quadraphonic" only from the CENTER OF THE ROOM.
If you don’t move away from your mixing console (as some lazy and therefore incompetent sound-engineers do) and don’t work from the CENTER OF THE ROOM ( = in the audience), you will then overload your PA system with bass and attenuate the mids and highs, naively believing that this will correct the room's sound. The result: people near your PA system will only hear a terrible, indistinct sound – a kind of dark mush.
Remember: Putan Club doesn't have a conventional sound. It's a 4P experience.
NOTE IMPORTANTE POUR LES INGÉNIEURS DU SON
Si vous devez régler/corriger l'égalisation de votre sono pendant le concert, veuillez vous placer au CENTRE de la salle (= dans le public). En effet, si vous restez assis à votre console de mixage alors que nos retours Mackie sont allumés à plein volume, vous n'entendrez quasiment que ces derniers (avec des médiums et des aigus d'une clarté cristalline, comme nous le souhaitons). De plus, le son est « quadriphonique » uniquement depuis le CENTRE de la salle.
Si vous ne bougez pas (comme le font certains ingénieurs du son paresseux et donc incompétents) et que vous ne travaillez pas depuis le centre de la salle (= dans le public), vous allez surcharger votre sono de basses et atténuer les médiums et les aigus, pensant naïvement pouvoir ainsi corriger le son complessif de la salle. Résultat : les personnes près de votre sono n'entendront qu'un son affreux et indistinct – une sombre bouillie.
N'oubliez pas : le Putan Club n'a pas un son conventionnel. C'est une expérience en 4P.
NOTA IMPORTANTE PER I TECNICI DEL SUONO
Se dovete regolare/correggere l'equalizzazione del vostro impianto PA durante il concerto, vi preghiamo di posizionarvi al CENTRO della sala (ovvero, tra il pubblico). Se rimanete seduti alla vostra console di missaggio mentre i nostri monitor Mackie suonano a volume massimo, non sentirete quasi altro che questi monitor (con medi e alti cristallini, come previsto).Inoltre, il suono è veramente quadrifonico solo dal CENTRO della sala.
Se non vi spostate (come fanno alcuni tecnici del suono pigri e quindi incompetenti) e non lavorate dal centro della sala (ovvero al CENTRO, tra il pubblico), sovraccaricherete il vostro impianto con i bassi e attenuerete i medi e gli alti, credendo ingenuamente che questo correggerà la complessa acustica della sala. Il risultato: chi si trova vicino al vostro impianto ascolterà solo un suono terribile e indistinto, una vera poltiglia scura.
Ricordate: il Putan Club non ha un suono convenzionale. È un'esperienza a 4 P.

CATERING
For 2 (or 3 if sound-engineer : to be confirmed) people . No vegetarians but cannibals. Allergies to eggplant and seafood. No pork meat. Lots of fresh salad & fruits.
• Catering at the arrival: coffee, milk, 4 liters of spa mineral water in glass bottles; 1 bottle of wine (no beer); fresh fruits, carrots and fresh raw vegetables, salad, bread, cheese, free drink tickets...
• 2 towels in backstage.
• Warm dinner (after-show) for 2 (or 3 if sound-engineer : to be confirmed) persons. Drinks. Allergies to eggplant and seafood. The Putan Club is not vegetarian or vegan.
HOSPITALITY
A 2 stars minimum with late check-out and continental breakfast for 2 (or 3 if sound-engineer : to be confirmed) people.
• 1 Double (couple) Hotel Room (with private bathroom) : Gianna Greco + François R. Cambuzat
• 1 Single Hotel Room : sound-engineer (to be confirmed)
• The keys and codes (for night & day entrance for rooms & parking) will be provided by the promoter/organizer and given to the band before the concert.
• We absolutely need volunteers to help us unload AND reload our vehicle: François R. broke his back (1 month in the hospital screaming under morphine) and can no longer carry heavy objects.
• We compulsory need a really safe & watched garage/parking place (& necessary permits if required) for a vehicle 2.5 m high (roof box), 4.7 m long, 1.9 m wide, plate GW809DK, F, Dacia Jogger, white. (All equipment will remain in the car overnight.)
• Please provide the special authorisations if required (for unloading/reloading in city center, historic center, pedestrian zone or others). Here are the car’s datas : plate GW809DK, France, Dacia Jogger, white.
OTHERS
The maximum effort is asked for Promoters to push promotion harder: before and while the Band is there: press,
medias, radio & video interviews. The band will talk to anyone about anything. That’s why we’re here.
